On maintenance costs – a steam system can require up to 6 times more maintenance when compared to the THERMOMAT system. The system is not under constant corrosion and high pressure attack. The THERMOMAT system is open to atmosphere which means it does not attract yearly hydro test and internal inspections / inspection authority costs.
The THERMOMAT system does not require a permanent responsible operator either – reducing the employee costs too.
Efficiency
With the same energy input as other systems : the THERMOMAT system can offer a very useful 350ºC medium for heat exchange. If you consider a steam system at standard pressure can only offer up to 180ºC – the benefits of the THERMOMAT circuit excel each time. Coupled to this, the new model THERMOMAT systems are capable of thermal efficiency of up to and over 88% – superior to other products offered locally.
The THERMOMAT system is a closed circuit meaning it is not subject to continual energy loss from traps and blow down as in steam systems. Less energy is wasted across the board.
The THERMOMAT systems can be fitted with full combustion monitoring systems too – where optimum fuel / air mix is controlled in real time on the burner. Savings of a further 2 to 3% can be realised with this PLC based accessory.Economiser systems where viable can achieve an end result of over 90% efficiency on fuel fired systems.
